Looking for someplace that does triple plated chroming for parts on the savage that isn't chromed. I live next to the ocean in northeastern Japan and have hard winters(4 to 5 months). I keep my bike in the garage. The parts that aren't chromed oxidize. Have replaced right and left side crankcase covers 2 years ago and they are oxidizing already. Also the brake panel and the left and right switch assembly. Same problem. I have no problems with chrome. I want to chrome everything or paint it. Nobody does the painting and chroming here. Looking for suggestions. Want to finish my project by May 2002 with new look. Will post pictures when done.
